This reference lists the REST API endpoints used across the payments guide, grouped by functional area. Each path is relative to the base URL for your environment.

Authorizations

The authorization service applies to standard authorizations and the authorization variants documented in this guide, including bill payment, Japanese payment options, and debt repayment. Incremental authorizations update an existing authorization.

The sale service combines authorization and capture into a single request.

Payer Authentication

The payer authentication service verifies a cardholder's identity before authorization, using the scheme-specific programs supported for each partner.

Captures

The capture service captures an authorization. It applies to standard captures, multiple partial captures, forced captures, and foreign retailer captures.

Authorization Reversals

The authorization reversal service reverses an authorization. Use the timeout reversal endpoint when the original authorization response was not received.

Credits

The credit service processes stand-alone credits, including Mastercard Payment of Winnings.

Refunds

The refund service processes follow-on refunds linked to a prior capture or sale.

Voids

The void service cancels a capture, credit, refund, or sale before settlement. Use the timeout void endpoint when the original response was not received.
