Token Management MLE Key

Token Management Message-Level Encryption (MLE) keys are required to send Token Management Service (TMS) related requests that use encryption. To create a Token Management MLE key, go to the .

This section describes key information, such as:

  • Message-level encryption keys expire after 3 years.
  • Security keys can be used to make any request, including payments. Treat your security keys as you would any secure password.
  • You must use separate keys for the test and production environments.

Follow these steps to create a token management message-level encryption key.

  1. Log in to the Business Center:

    Contact customer support for access to the .

  2. On the left navigation panel, choose Payment Configuration > Key Management.

    The Key Management page appears.

  3. Click + Generate key.

    The Create Key page appears.

  4. Select Token Management MLE and click Generate Key.

  5. Enter the public key value into the text field, and click Create Key.

  6. On the Key Management page, select Message Level Encryption from the Key Type drop-down to view your keys.

  7. Select your key.

  8. To change the status of the key from Inactive or Active, click Change Status.

  9. Click Confirm to change the status of the key. The key status is now changed.
