Getting Started with REST

To begin processing payments through , you must first set up your payment processing system to be REST compliant. uses the REST architecture for developing web services. REST enables communication between a client and server using HTTP protocols.

If you have not set up secure communications between your client and server using either a JSON Web Token or HTTP signature, see the Getting Started with REST Developer Guide.

Requirements

You must meet these requirements before you can process transactions using Tink Pay by Bank:

Get a Merchant ID

To sign up for a test account and create a MID, see the Sandbox Signup page.

Create a REST API Security Key

To create a key with an existing merchant account, see Get Started with Security Keys. When you sign up for a test account, a test key is created.

Enable Tink Pay by Bank for Your Merchant Account

Contact your account manager to enable Tink Pay by Bank for your merchant account.

Add Tink Pay by Bank to Your Payment Options

Add Tink Pay by Bank to your list of payment options. For steps to enable and configure Tink in the Business Center, see Enable Tink in the Business Center.

Set Up a Webhook Subscription

To receive real-time transaction notifications, create a webhook subscription. If you have not set up your system to support webhooks, see the Webhooks Implementation Guide for the REST API.
