eCheck/ACH Service
Unified Checkout supports the acceptance of eCheck information. Sensitive eCheck data is securely captured and replaced with a token. Acceptance of eCheck information enables merchants to collect funds from a customer's bank account through both the ACH service and the eCheck service (US only) for either of these flows:
- ACH services are a set of connections composed of the legacy gateway solutions where serves as the gateway.
- eCheck, the newer service on Payments 2.0, is the acquirer solution where is the acquirer.
Unified Checkout replaces these eCheck information fields in your payment input form:
- Routing number
- Account number
- Account type (non-sensitive)
Board Merchants with eCheck
Before you can accept eCheck/ACH Service payments, your account must be boarded for eCheck. Portfolio users can board and enable their merchants for eCheck using the API.
Send a POST request to the Boarding Registration API to board eCheck:

If your organization is already boarded, you can add eCheck as a product using the PECS API instead:

Unified Checkout can accept bank account payments using the eCheck product. To accept eCheck payments through Unified Checkout, you must have the eCheck processing service enabled. To request access to eCheck processing and enable eCheck, you must submit an application in the . Once your application is approved, you can accept eCheck payments.

If eCheck is not listed in the Available Products section in the , you must contact your portfolio owner to enable your account to apply for eCheck.

Pay with eCheck/ACH Service UI
The eCheck/ACH Service payment flow in Unified Checkout follows this sequence:
- eCheck/ACH Service Account Order Summary: the customer reviews their order summary before entering payment details.
- Pay with eCheck/ACH Service Checkout: the customer manually enters their routing number, account number, and account type.
- eCheck/ACH Service Review and Confirm: the customer reviews and confirms the payment before submitting it.
