To cancel without saving, click Cancel Create Pay by Link.
Payment Link Expiration Dates
You can configure an optional expiration date on any fixed price or customer-set price link. Expiration dates improve security and reduce the risk of unauthorized payments on older links.
How expiration works:
- The expiration date is stored in UTC at 00:00. The date shown on the payment page is converted to the payer's local timezone.
- A customer can complete payment if their local time is at or before the converted expiration date.
- A customer cannot complete payment if their local time is past the converted expiration date.
- When a link expires, its status does not automatically change from Active to Inactive. The link remains in its current state, but customers who access it see a message stating the link is expired and directing them to contact the business that issued it.
To set or change an expiration date, edit the link after creation. See Manage Payment Links.
